LASTART
"NCT UNIVERSE: Lastart" was a survival show made to debut the final expansion of NCT. 11 trainees competed throughout the episodes to join Sion and Yushi in the new team and only 5 were chosen, making NCT NEW TEAM a 7 member group.
After LASTART ended and we got our long awaited final lineup, the final subunit of NCT was known as NCT NEW TEAM. On October 2nd 2023 it was announced that one of the final lineup members, Jungmin, would be leaving the group for health reasons
On October 8th 2023 the unit released their pre-debut single "Hands Up". On January 17th the units name was confirmed as NCT WISH after many theories and spoilers from other NCT members.
